Gulf and Japanese healthcare employers are actively recruiting Bangladeshi nurses and caregivers — but the selection bar is real, and certification is what gets you through it.
As demand for skilled nurses rises across Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, and Oman, Bangladeshi nurses are increasingly sought after — but recent recruitment rounds show the gap between demand and actually-qualified supply. In one recent Kuwait hiring round through the state agency BOESL, only 15 of 100 candidates who sat the exam were selected, with requirements including English proficiency, at least three years' experience, and Basic Life Support certification.
Japan is a growing separate channel: caregiver visa applicants need to pass JLPT N4 or JFT Basic A2 language testing, be aged 18–35, and complete a dedicated caregiver training pathway before deployment.
